The principle on which this technology is based is to use healthy counterpart connective tissue of the same patient processed with KIT to regenerate its own damaged tissue. The affinity of the donor and recipient tissue used contributes a high differentiation and potentiality obtaining as a result a great cellular regenerative efficiency. Patented technology applied to a surgical instrument, sterile and disposable, which by means of mechanical disintegration in small tissue particles isolates SVFs with high regenerative power. 1: 1 ratio With 1 cm2 of healthy tissue (biologically different) We regenerate 1cm2 of damaged tissue. Proportion 1:20 With 1 cm2 of healthy tissue (biologically homologous) we regenerate 20 cm2 of damaged tissue. It is based on the Theory of MICROINJERTO TISULAR. Using WOVEN HOMOLOGOUS FABRIC (AUTOLOGOUS) + Kit you get how: THE REGENERATION OF DAMAGED TISSUE. Surgical concept: The smaller the dimension of the graft, the easier it is to integrate into the implanted tissue. Biological concept: The size of the SVF (Vascular Stromal Fracture) cells is approx. 50 microns. This selection and isolation we obtain are those that have a greater potentiality, greater power of differentiation and a high efficiency in cell regeneration. Example: To regenerate articular cartilage we use: Auricular Cartilage + Perichondrium Articular cartilage: It is a cartilage of hyaline type that lacks vascularization whose free surface is not covered by perichondrium. Perichondrium: A layer of fibrous and compact connective tissue that lines the cartilage, except the joint. It is highly innervated and vascularized. When we extract healthy connective tissue HOMOLOGOUS to the damaged tissue that we want to regenerate, the action of the SVF induced by the pericytes and endothelial cells that increase its vascularization is increased, therefore we take advantage of 95% of its.

Tip the Hat: Does A Superior Cloth Surgeons Cap ReallyExist? by Jason Nealy in Surgery & Case Studies Open Access Journal in Lupinepublishers

The efficacy of operating room headwear has been in debate for several years as governing organizations, including the Joint Commission, CDC, and the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, have published guidelines without clear evidence in support of these practices. In the 2016 edition of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses Procedure Manual all operating room personnel are to wear disposable bouffant-style hats. Several studies have suggested that hair is a vehicle for bacterial dispersal, however, there has been no definitive evidence that connects bacteria in the hair to surgical site infections. In November, 2017 an article was published in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons entitled “Hats Off: A Study of Different Operating Room Headgear Assessed by Environmental Quality Indicators.” Though this study has demanded criticism by those in control of OR policy, it is not without validity. When assessing cloth skull caps, there was no difference in terms of microbial or particulate shedding compared to disposable skull caps, and lower particulate shedding compared to disposable bouffant caps. This suggests that cloth skull caps are superior to bouffant hats. In determining OR headwear an additional option exists, one that has not been so publicly scrutinized: antimicrobial cloth skull caps. To this date no studies have compared antimicrobial cloth skull caps to regular cloth skull caps. We hypothesized that antimicrobial skull caps will harbor less bacterial burden then regular cloth skull caps. Antimicrobial cloth skull caps were purchased from Dickies, hat serial code 83566A titled “Adult’s Antimicrobial Scrub Hat”. These are unisex caps with ties in the back. They contain Certainty™ antimicrobial fabric technology. The EPA-registered antimicrobial fabric technology in Certainty™ inhibit and minimize the growth of unwanted microorganisms on the fabric through a polymer deliver system of silver ions into the fibers of the fabric. It is a well-known fact that silver ions and silver-based compounds are highly toxic to microorganisms. Regular cloth caps were purchased new and 100% cotton, unisex fit, with ties in the back.

Phantom Breast Syndrome: Experience from a UniversityHospital in a Developing Country by
Maha Abdel Hadi in Surgery & Case Studies Open Access Journal in Lupinepublishers

The aim of this study to assess the presence and the significance of phantom breast syndrome (PBS) in a conservative community with the cultural stigma of emotion disclosure related to mastectomy. This study was conducted at the breast oncology clinics between Jan 2017-December 2018. Direct interview using a prepared pilot tested structured questionnaire directed towards patients who underwent mastectomy between the periods of January 2011-December 2017. Pain and body image distortion were the focus of the study. Demographic data, marital status, education and socioeconomic status were included. The target population intended was 100 patients 347 patients were diagnosed with breast cancer, mastectomy was performed on 143 (41.2%). The capture rate for interview was 82 (82%) of the targeted interviewees. Age ranged between 23-83years with the median age of 49 years. The majority of women who experienced phantom breast syndrome 30 (36.5 %) were within the reproductive age group. Progression of pain after the first year of mastectomy was noticeable ranging from phantom pain to severe pain requiring aid with standard analgesics with successful relief in 57 (69.5%) of the patients. Body image distortion concerns and phantom pain symptoms were more pronounced in married 29 (35%), highly educated 32 (39%) and high socioeconomic class 13 (16%) compared to the rest of the group. It was also noticed that pain symptoms and severity decrease with age. PBS remains a significant entity that should be identified, investigated and treated in order to contribute to high quality of life in these subsets of women with breast cancer. Special tailoring to own cultures may aid in rehabilitation of the affected women.
